Lafrentz Wood Workshop was founded in 2016 in hopes of offering a chance to design and build the perfect, custom piece to add to your home or office. We’re dedicated to your vision and will work with you to create a product you can’t find at a big box home store. We are thankful to have our work proudly displayed in many homes as well as local businesses.

With a family that occasionally “flipped” houses and often took home improvement projects into their own hands, it’s simple to say Joey’s interest in craftsmanship may have been influenced by this family value. Once in high school, Joey took this interest, enrolled in the woodworking class, and realized it was a passion. This passion propelled him to work on prop development and set building while earning his theatre degree. Over the course of his college career, he earned three awards for his prop work at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. After graduating from UNO, Joey realized he wanted to continue making custom pieces and eventually was able to grow Lafrentz Wood Workshop into the still expanding business it is today.
